Career Pathways programs, particularly those in community colleges, depend on strong wrap-around services and support for individuals as they gain new skills and transition to higher-wage jobs.

This Executive Order does far more than add work requirements for those struggling to make ends meet. It also reduces or eliminates access for workers to gain needed skills in a changing workplace and places employers in an even greater bind to get and keep the skilled workers they need to run successful businesses.

Last night, President Trump signed an Executive Order calling for new work requirements across a broad range of means-tested public assistance programs, and further calling for the consolidation or elimination of federal workforce development programs.
